Ice Cream Shop

The essential characteristics of the ice cream cone, its angled lines, waffled texture, and conical shape, were the inspiration for the design process. The resemblance is apparent in the oblique pyramids at the sides ofthe building. These shapes give the building the desired visual effect and serve an important purpose. To give the building a sense of importance and durability, the pyramids are built of concrete. To create a mesh similar to a cone, lines were traced at random and combined with glass; when they are illuminated they cast wonderful shadows over the store’s interior. To give the pyramids the spotlight, the remainder of  the design is carried out simple and straight forward lines and colors that do not compete for visual or spatial attention.
