The topography allowed for a three story building, a parking-lot at the far end of the ground floor hidden by a commercial strip. As a homage to the region's cultural heritage, the strip houses twelve retail spaces offering arts and crafts. This strip includes a demonstration space that showcases the various art and design processes employed by artisans. The commercial strip finalizes with the access to the second level, which includes a semi-open table space surrounded by twelve restaurants. Canvas stretched from different angles makes a stunning covering.
Inspired from our surroundings, colors and textures were used to represent the town. Apaneca is known for its antique residences with whitewashed walls and wooden details.
*This was a group project, I was in charge of the architectural design and 3D modeling.
